HOW TO DO DOUBLE UNDERS
- Use a slightly higher, controlled jump while turning the rope fast enough to pass beneath the feet twice before landing.
- Keep the body long, elbows near the ribs, and accelerate the rope with compact wrist action rather than wide arm circles.
- Land softly on the balls of the feet and rebound in a consistent vertical rhythm; avoid piking the hips, kicking the feet back, or racing after a missed turn.
- Double unders are a skilled jump-rope variation that increases coordination, impact frequency, and cardiovascular demand.
- First establish relaxed single unders, then practise isolated double turns with full recovery.
- Use short sets and progress volume cautiously to protect the calves, feet, and Achilles tendons.
