Barbell Wrist Curl — forearms isolation exercise in the LIFTAG library

Barbell Wrist Curl

Isolation · Weight × reps

Avoid bouncing at the bottom or letting a straight bar force an uncomfortable wrist angle. An EZ bar may fit better, and rolling the bar toward the fingertips is an optional grip variation; use modest loads because the wrist flexors work through short lever arms.

HOW TO DO BARBELL WRIST CURL

  1. Sit with your forearms supported on your thighs or a bench, palms up, and hands extending just beyond the edge while holding a light bar.
  2. Lower it by opening the wrists to a comfortable stretch, then curl the palms toward the forearms without lifting the elbows.
  3. Keep the fingers securely around the bar and move slowly.
