Squat Thrust

Compound · Weight × reps · Time

The squat thrust cycles between standing, a crouch, and plank without the push-up or vertical jump used in many burpee variations. It trains whole-body coordination and can raise cardiovascular demand through repeated transitions.

HOW TO DO SQUAT THRUST

  1. Stand with feet about hip-width apart, squat or hinge to place both hands on the floor, and jump the feet back into a firm high plank.
  2. Keep the shoulders over the hands and hips aligned, then jump the feet forward near the hands and stand tall.
  3. Step the feet back and forward to reduce impact, use a non-slip surface, and slow or stop when the lower back sags, feet land unevenly, or hand placement becomes careless.
