Smith Machine Calf Raise — calves isolation exercise in the LIFTAG library

Smith Machine Calf Raise

Isolation · Weight × reps

Unhook, hold the rails or bar steadily, and lower the heels through a comfortable range with knees straight but not forcefully locked. The exercise loads the gastrocnemius, soleus, and foot muscles while the rails guide the bar. Use a non-slip block that cannot tip, distribute pressure across the forefoot, and re-rack before stepping off; do not bounce under heavy load.
