Incline Dumbbell Row — back compound exercise in the LIFTAG library

Incline Dumbbell Row

Compound · Weight × reps

Avoid lifting off the bench or shrugging to shorten the pull. A tucked elbow path emphasizes the lats, while a wider path shifts work toward the upper back and rear shoulders; chest support reduces trunk demand but does not guarantee a strain-free position.

HOW TO DO INCLINE DUMBBELL ROW

  1. Set an incline bench so the dumbbells can hang without touching the floor, then lie chest-down with your feet braced.
  2. Pull the weights toward your lower ribs by driving the elbows back, and lower them slowly as the shoulder blades reach forward.
  3. Keep your chest on the pad, neck long, and wrists neutral.
