Kettlebell Renegade Row — back compound exercise in the LIFTAG library

Kettlebell Renegade Row

Compound · Weight × reps

The renegade row trains the back and biceps while the chest, shoulders, and trunk stabilize the plank against rotation. Use flat, heavy bells that will not tip, keep the supporting wrist stacked, and reduce the load or row from the knees if you cannot keep the torso quiet.

HOW TO DO KETTLEBELL RENEGADE ROW

  1. Place two stable kettlebells on a non-slip surface and grip their handles in a high plank, with the feet wider than normal for balance.
  2. Brace the trunk and glutes, press firmly through one bell, and row the other toward the hip without rotating or lifting the pelvis.
  3. Lower it gently, reset, and alternate sides.
