Front Lever Raise — back compound exercise in the LIFTAG library

Front Lever Raise

Compound · Weight × reps · Time

The front-lever raise dynamically loads the latissimus, shoulder extensors, abdominals, and grip through a very long lever. Begin with tuck or one-leg raises and master corresponding static holds first. Limit repetitions to technically clean efforts and progress lever length only when both ascent and descent remain controlled.

HOW TO DO FRONT LEVER RAISE

  1. Hang from a secure bar with straight arms and a firm overhand grip.
  2. Set the shoulders, brace into a hollow body, and pull the bar toward the hips as you raise the torso and legs together toward a horizontal front-lever position.
  3. Pause at the highest controlled point, then lower the rigid body slowly back to the hang without bending the elbows, swinging, or dropping the hips.
