Typewriter Push-Up — chest compound exercise in the LIFTAG library

Typewriter Push-Up

Compound · Weight × reps

Stay low, glide the chest horizontally toward the other hand while gradually straightening the first arm and bending the second, then press up or travel back before rising according to the chosen repetition pattern. The typewriter push-up extends time under tension and shifts most of the pressing load from side to side, challenging the chest, triceps, shoulders, and trunk. Master archer push-ups first and use an incline or smaller lateral range if the shoulders cannot stay stable.
