Tuck Jump

Compound · Weight × reps

While airborne, bring the knees toward the chest without folding the torso excessively or reaching down for the legs. Reset between repetitions rather than rushing. The tuck jump trains vertical power, aerial coordination, and repeated landing control, but it carries higher impact than a squat jump. First demonstrate quiet squat jumps, use a clear forgiving surface, keep sets short, and stop when jump height falls or the knees collapse on landing.

HOW TO DO TUCK JUMP

  1. Stand tall, dip quickly through the hips and knees, and jump vertically.
  2. Extend the legs early enough to prepare for landing, contact the floor on both feet, and absorb force through bent ankles, knees, and hips.
