Staggered Push-Up — chest compound exercise in the LIFTAG library

Staggered Push-Up

Compound · Weight × reps

Form a rigid plank, lower the chest between the hands under control, and press back up without rotating the torso. Complete equal repetitions before switching the hand positions, or change them only after fully resetting at the top. The staggered stance gives each arm a different leverage and shoulder angle while the chest, triceps, shoulders, and trunk share the work. Return to symmetrical hands if the body twists or either shoulder feels pinched; this is a variation, not a required progression.
