One-Arm Push-Up

Compound · Weight × reps

The one-arm push-up is an advanced unilateral press for the chest, triceps, and shoulder with high anti-rotation demand on the trunk. Progress through narrow inclines, archer push-ups, and assisted versions. Use only a range you control, and stop if the wrist, elbow, or shoulder becomes painful.

HOW TO DO ONE-ARM PUSH-UP

  1. Take a wide stance and place one hand on the floor near the centreline below the shoulder; hold the free arm behind the back or out for balance.
  2. Brace hard, keep the hips and shoulders as square as possible, and lower the chest by bending the supporting elbow.
  3. Press back to a stable straight arm without twisting, bouncing, or collapsing through the shoulder.
