Elbow Lever

Time

Squat down, place the hands on the floor with fingers pointing sideways or backward as comfort allows, and press the elbows firmly into the abdomen near the hips. The elbow lever is primarily a balance and leverage skill supported by the wrists, triceps, shoulders, chest, and trunk; the elbows provide a shelf rather than pure abdominal compression. Practise over a mat, begin with toes lightly supported, and stop if wrist pressure or abdominal contact becomes painful.
