HOW TO DO SIT-UP

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent, feet planted, and arms crossed over the chest or reaching forward.
  2. Exhale and curl the trunk from the floor, then continue flexing at the hips until the torso is upright.
  3. Reverse the movement under control and lower the spine without dropping.
  4. Avoid pulling on the neck or using a fast arm swing.
  5. Anchor the feet only if that matches the intended variation, and choose a crunch or reduced range if repeated flexion or hip-flexor work is uncomfortable.
