Duck Walk

Compound · Weight × reps · Time

Shift weight smoothly from foot to foot and keep the chest controlled rather than collapsing onto the thighs. The duck walk creates sustained quadriceps and gluteal work while challenging ankle and hip range, balance, and coordination. It is not a required mobility drill and can place substantial demand on deeply flexed knees. Begin in a higher squat, use a short distance, and stop if knee, ankle, or hip discomfort increases.

HOW TO DO DUCK WALK

  1. Lower into a squat only as deep as you can keep the feet grounded and knees aligned.
  2. Hold that height, brace the trunk, and take short forward or backward steps without letting the hips rise between them.
