HOW TO DO CABLE DECLINE CHEST PRESS

  1. Set both pulleys above chest height, take the handles, and step forward into a stable split stance with the cables behind you.
  2. Begin with elbows bent beside the lower chest, brace, and press the handles forward and slightly downward until your arms are long.
  3. Return under control while keeping your shoulders in a comfortable range.
  4. Avoid folding over, flaring the ribs, or forcefully locking the elbows.
  5. The descending line may emphasize the sternal chest fibers, but pulley height and torso angle should be modest enough that this remains a press rather than a downward triceps push.
