HOW TO DO CABLE DECLINE CHEST PRESS
- Set both pulleys above chest height, take the handles, and step forward into a stable split stance with the cables behind you.
- Begin with elbows bent beside the lower chest, brace, and press the handles forward and slightly downward until your arms are long.
- Return under control while keeping your shoulders in a comfortable range.
- Avoid folding over, flaring the ribs, or forcefully locking the elbows.
- The descending line may emphasize the sternal chest fibers, but pulley height and torso angle should be modest enough that this remains a press rather than a downward triceps push.
