HOW TO DO STANDING MACHINE GLUTE KICKBACK
- If the machine allows it, adjust the upper-body support and starting position so you can lean against it securely and place one foot comfortably against the moving support.
- Set your supporting foot firmly, grip the handles, and brace your core.
- Push the moving support backward by extending the working hip while keeping your pelvis stable and maintaining approximately the same knee angle throughout the movement.
- Stop before your lower back begins to arch or your pelvis rotates.
- Briefly contract the glute, then return the leg slowly to a comfortable starting position.
- Avoid using momentum or pushing off with the supporting leg.
- Use the same setup, range, and planned volume on both sides.
