HOW TO DO REVERSE HYPEREXTENSION
- Lie face down with your hips near the pad's edge, secure your feet in the pendulum strap, and grip the handles.
- Brace your trunk against the pad and begin with your legs hanging under control.
- Extend your hips to raise the pendulum until your legs approach the line of your torso, then lower smoothly without letting the weight pull you into an uncontrolled swing.
- Keep the motion at the hips rather than forcefully arching the lower back.
- Start with a small range and light load to learn the machine's momentum; claims that the exercise decompresses the spine are not established.
