Low-to-High Cable Fly — chest isolation exercise in the LIFTAG library

Low-to-High Cable Fly

Isolation · Weight × reps

Keeping a gentle, nearly fixed bend in the elbows, sweep the handles upward and inward until they meet around upper-chest height. The rising line of pull can emphasize the clavicular portion of the chest, but pulley width and finishing height should be adjusted to your shoulder comfort and machine geometry.

HOW TO DO LOW-TO-HIGH CABLE FLY

  1. Set both pulleys low, take the handles, and step forward into a stable stance with your hands slightly behind your hips.
  2. Control the return and stop before the cables pull your shoulders into an uncomfortable stretch.
  3. Keep your ribs settled and avoid turning the motion into a front raise by bringing straight arms far overhead.
