HOW TO DO KETTLEBELL WINDMILL
- Stand with the feet turned slightly away from the arm holding a kettlebell overhead.
- Stack the load over a straight elbow and active shoulder, shift the hips toward the loaded side, and hinge while rotating the chest enough to keep sight of the bell.
- Slide the free hand down the inside of the front leg only as far as hamstring mobility and trunk control allow, then drive the hips back to standing.
- The windmill combines an overhead shoulder hold with hip hinging, thoracic rotation, and lateral trunk control.
- Master the unloaded pattern and low-windmill variation before adding overhead weight, and stop if shoulder position or spinal control is lost.
