HOW TO DO DEAD BUG
- Lie on your back with hips and knees bent to about 90 degrees and arms reaching upward.
- Exhale, brace the trunk, and gently keep the lower back in contact with the floor.
- Slowly lower one arm and the opposite leg without allowing the ribs to flare or the pelvis to tip, then return and alternate sides.
- Shorten the reach if you lose trunk position; the limbs should move while the torso stays quiet.
- The dead bug trains abdominal control and coordination against lumbar extension.
- Move deliberately and breathe between repetitions rather than forcing the back down or holding a prolonged breath.
