Assisted Dip

Compound · Weight × reps

Select the counterweight, mount the platform using the fixed steps and handles, and take a stable grip on the dip bars. Begin in straight-arm support, keep the shoulders active, and bend the elbows to lower only through a comfortable depth. More selected counterweight provides more assistance. Assisted dips train the triceps, chest, and anterior shoulders while reducing the portion of body mass lifted, but they are not automatically pain-free or safe at every depth.

HOW TO DO ASSISTED DIP

  1. Press the bars down to return without bouncing the platform or shrugging.
  2. Keep knees or feet centred, change settings only after stepping off, and adjust assistance or range if the shoulders, sternum, or elbows feel strained.
