Tuck Planche Hold — shoulders exercise in the LIFTAG library

Tuck Planche Hold

Time

The tuck planche is an advanced straight-arm progression loading the wrists, shoulders, chest, triceps, and trunk while shortening the lever of the full skill. Build planche leans and frog-stand confidence first, use a clear padded area, and stop when elbows bend or shoulder position collapses.

HOW TO DO TUCK PLANCHE HOLD

  1. Place the hands on the floor or stable parallettes, lock the elbows, and protract the shoulder blades.
  2. Lean forward, draw the knees tightly toward the chest, and lift both feet so the body balances only on the hands.
  3. Keep the shoulders ahead of the hands, hips near shoulder height, and trunk compressed without resting the knees on the arms.
  4. Hold briefly, then lower the feet with control.
