Ring Support Hold — shoulders exercise in the LIFTAG library

Ring Support Hold

Time

Begin with the rings neutral; as control improves, turn them slightly outward without losing elbow lock or letting the straps touch the arms. Breathe steadily and exit before the rings drift. The support hold develops isometric triceps, chest, shoulder-girdle, grip, and trunk control needed for ring dips and muscle-ups. Use toe assistance or shorter holds initially, inspect the straps and anchor, and train over a clear padded area.

HOW TO DO RING SUPPORT HOLD

  1. Set the rings low enough for a safe step-down and support the body between them with elbows straight.
  2. Press the rings toward the hips, keep the shoulders away from the ears, and hold the trunk and legs still.
