HOW TO DO PSEUDO PLANCHE PUSH-UP
- Start in a high plank with hands near the hips or fingers turned slightly outward if comfortable.
- Protract the shoulder blades, brace the trunk and glutes, and lean the shoulders forward beyond the wrists while keeping the feet grounded.
- Maintain that lean as you bend the elbows and lower through a controlled range, then press back to straight arms without losing the rounded upper-back position or hollow body.
- The pseudo planche push-up increases the moment at the shoulders and loads the chest, anterior deltoids, triceps, wrists, and trunk.
- Build the lean gradually, stop short of wrist pain, and use parallettes or a smaller lean when needed.
