HOW TO DO PSEUDO PLANCHE PUSH-UP

  1. Start in a high plank with hands near the hips or fingers turned slightly outward if comfortable.
  2. Protract the shoulder blades, brace the trunk and glutes, and lean the shoulders forward beyond the wrists while keeping the feet grounded.
  3. Maintain that lean as you bend the elbows and lower through a controlled range, then press back to straight arms without losing the rounded upper-back position or hollow body.
  4. The pseudo planche push-up increases the moment at the shoulders and loads the chest, anterior deltoids, triceps, wrists, and trunk.
  5. Build the lean gradually, stop short of wrist pain, and use parallettes or a smaller lean when needed.
